Frog Neofix T1

Excellent grab. Superior bond. Built for everyday tiling.

A polymer-modified, cement-based tile adhesive for ceramic tile on floor and wall, and vitrified tile on floor — engineered to grab fast and hold long after the grout goes in.

Frog Neofix T1, 20kg bag

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Frog Neofix T1 is the standard-set adhesive in the Frog range — the one most installers reach for first. It's formulated with polymer modifiers that improve workability and grab without slowing down the pace of a normal tiling day, so you get a consistent, trowelable paste that holds ceramic tile to floor and wall, and vitrified tile to floor, without slump or slip.

PRODUCT FEATURES

  • ●Excellent initial grab on vertical surfaces
  • ●Superior bond strength on cured cementitious substrates
  • ●Smooth, trowel-friendly consistency once mixed
  • ●Formulated for quick tiling — saves time and labour
  • ●Suitable for interior floor and wall applications

ADVANTAGES ON SITE

  • ✓Fewer callbacks — consistent grab reduces slipped or hollow tiles
  • ✓Predictable open time keeps crews moving at a steady pace
  • ✓One bag covers standard-format ceramic tile without upgrading to a premium adhesive
  • ✓Batch-tested performance, so bag-to-bag behaviour stays consistent

INSTALLATION METHOD

Surface prep, mixing, and application

STEP 01 — SURFACE PREPARATION

  • Ensure the substrate is sound, clean, and free of dust, oil, curing compounds or loose material.
  • Dampen highly absorbent substrates before application; do not leave standing water.
  • Allow new plaster or screed to cure fully before tiling.

STEP 02 — MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

  • Add powder gradually to approximately 5.5–6 litres of clean water per 20 kg bag.
  • Mix with a slow-speed drill and paddle until a smooth, lump-free paste forms.
  • Let the mix stand for 5 minutes, then re-stir briefly before use.

STEP 03 — APPLICATION

  • Comb the adhesive onto the substrate with the notched trowel size matched to the tile format.
  • Place tiles within the open time and press firmly with a slight sliding motion to maximise contact.
  • Check coverage periodically by lifting a tile; adjust trowel angle if transfer is incomplete.

FAQ

Common questions

Can Neofix T1 be used on exterior walls?

Neofix T1 is formulated for interior use. For exterior or high-movement applications, use Frog Megafix T2 or Stonefix T5, which carry higher deformability ratings.

Can it be used under natural stone?

Natural stone can be sensitive to moisture and staining. Frog Stonefix T5 is purpose-built for stone and is the recommended choice instead.

How soon can grouting begin?

Allow at least 24 hours after tiling before grouting, longer in cold or humid conditions.

What trowel size should I use?

Match the notch to your tile size — see the Coverage Guide above. Frog Notched Trowels are available in 3mm, 6mm and 10mm.
